The Body Shop Super Volume Mascara

A few months back (quite a while back) I purchased a travel pack from the Body Shop.  Some of the items included in the pack is the Camomile Gentle Eye Make Up Remover, and their Super Volume Mascara.

To be honest, I'm not really a fan of mascara cause I've always have difficulty removing them.  But recently, I've been experimenting with eye make up and realised that mascara makes a difference to how I look!  Thus, on and off (whenever I'm not lazy!) I'll apply eye shadows and mascara.  This tube comes in handy because it's small! It's meant for travelling, given the size is only 2.5ml.  It's good enough.

Because the tube of mascara is small, it makes the bristle looks like it's huge!  But not to worry, it isn't really when you bring it close to your eyes.

What I love:
  1. I don't actually have to curl my lashes!  It curls up on its own.  I don't know how it does it, but it works for me =)
  2. My lashes does looks fuller.  Sorry, camera sucks, thus, no pictures of it.  But it's the au naturel fullness kinda look, not overly dramatic.  Just full enough for office look.  If you want your lashes to be fuller, you can apply double layer.  But make sure you use a curler after that for the effect.  Else, it may probably droop a little due to the weight.
  3. It's so easy to apply, you just need to slightly touch it to your eye lashes and the colour sticks!  Simple and easy.  It doesn't clump too!  I guess the bristles help to separate the lashes nicely and makes it looks fuller.
  4. I loveeeee the packaging of it.  It looks uber class okay.  Simple yet stylo.

What I dislike:
  1. It smudges after half a day.  I guess it's probably due to proneness of oil on my eye!  I gotta run to the toilet to make sure that the smudge doesn't get out of hand.  It's more like, after half a day, you got to keep checking it.
  2. It's just too small! Haha, okay okay, I know.  It's a travel set!

In overall, it works for me.  I guess when I'm done with it, I'll get a new one depending on the price (not sure the price).  Most likely something I would use when I go for dinner event rather than day time.  I'm kinda lazy, so running to the toilet and needing to keep checking on my eyes is something that I tend to forget! That's sooo exactly what happened today.. urgh... What a face to show in the office =.=

Next review coming up, Fasio Curl Mascara (brown)!!!! Oh something of that sort =p

Body Shop: Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover Review

What should I say about this item?  I got it as part of my travel pack from Body Shop.  They were selling it rather cheap, less than RM100 for a mascara, the eye make up remove, day and night moisturiser, and a body gel. I tend to wear some eye make up when I attend wedding dinners, but these few weeks I've been rather playful and decided to do up my eyes!  Ops, on goes eye shadows and mascara on my eyes.  And thus, this review, since I need to remove those beauty stuff from my face!

What I love?
I love the bottle!  The use of white and the simplicity of its design is, oh so darling! Okay, I'm a sucker for simple things, so its design works for me.
The size is good too, since it's for travelling, thus it comes in handy.

In terms of its use, it really is a gentle eye make up remover!   It doesn't sting my eyes at all and it feels like I'm applying water onto the eyes, so light and gentle.  That aside, it does well in removing my eye shadow.

What I don't like?
It doesn't remove my mascara! Not even a little.  I was rather disappointed with it, cause I was expecting something slightly more on this.  I guess probably it was too gentle for mascara?  What I ended up doing was trying to rub my eyes to get rid of the mascara (which I know is bad for the skin around my eyes =(  ) Anyhow, after a few times of attempting to remove the mascara, I kinda gave up.

I guess, if you are just merely using eye shadow and doesn't do much of heavy make up or mascara, this may work for you.  Otherwise, it's better to keep your money for something better.

Need to scout for a good eye make up remover now just to make sure the mascara goes off good!

p/s: Body Shop mascara review next!

Toner after Washing Your Face

Recently, I attended a beauty course and was thought on the steps of doing facial, even when we're at home.  I know for some of us, what we do is actually:

1. Wash Face with Cleanser
2. Toner (depending on your mood/Don't even use a toner at all)
3. Moisturiser

I think most of us would think that it's okay and it's alright to skip the toning part.  Afterall, our face seems toned enought right?  Well, wrong!  There are numerous benefits of using a toner after cleansing our face with the cleanser:
  • It helps to remove the dead cells/dirt that are still left on our skin even after the cleansing step.  Don't be surprised, cause sometimes cleanser alone doesn't clean as thoroughly as we want it to be.  Thus, the toner comes into play.
  • Toner helps to balance our skin PH.  Of course, we will need to make sure that we are using the right toner.  Avoid using toners that are astringent or contains alcohol as those are harmful to your skin.  What they do is they strip of the natural oil of your skin, thus leaving your skin even worse than ever.  Be on the lookout for those which are gentle, which does not contain any astringent or alcohol.
Nonetheless, there are a number of contradictory feedback re toner.  I guess, it's really up to your choice.  As for me, since I started using toner, i do notice my skin is cleaner and I have less pimples!  Maybe my cleanser isn't good enough and thus the need to rely on a toner.

At the moment, I am using Himalaya Toner.  It's non-alcoholic nor astringent.  It doesn't make my skin tighter (as in dry kind of taut), nor do I feel any sting.  It just feels like I'm wiping my face with a refreshing water on my skin =)

All in all, one should follow this regime if you want to ensure that your skin's good and nice at the end of the day =)

L'Occitane Bergamot Tea Hand Cream

I'm a little addicted to handcreams! It's true, cause I've been on a hunt to test and check out handcreams that's out there...

Well, a few entries earlier, I mentioned that I got a voucher from L'Occitane, being my birthday gift from them I guess.  And me being me, I was rushing over to check out their things.  My Ianti's handcream was running low, thus the hunt for the lovely hand cream began...

What really attracted me to this handcream is the smell.  I'm not a big fan of tea, but the bergamot tea smell is rather enchanting.  It's gentle to the nose, and it emanates a rather soothing smell.  That was the deciding factor to my purchase actually... hahaha....

Absorption level:  Unlike their Shea Butter range which leaves the hand slightly oily, the Bergamot Tea Hand Cream tends to be absorbed into my skin rather quickly.  When I look at my hand, it looks oily, yet it doesn't (it does look rather glowy after you applied it, like there's a layer of oil).  The cream absorbs right into your hand within minutes and leaves your hand moisturised.  When I touch my hand, I like the smoothness of it after the application.  No oil, just smooth.. Of course, the smell of the is soooo niceeeee....

Moisture level: medium high.  Well, that is compared to Shea Butter.  It does moisturise my hand and I like the smoothness of my hand after applying this hand cream.

Long lasting: not too bad.  What I like about it is, even after you wet your hands, you can feel the moisturiser there... I tend to pat my hands dry after that in order to ensure that the creamy feeling is absorbed into my skin once again.

Value for money:  To be honest, I can't remember the price.  Then again, L'Occitane's products are never cheap, but of course, looking at the rate that I am using it, it does last kinda long =)  So it may be good to invest on it if you like handcreams like me!

Christmas is around the corner, and I'm already checking out their travel set... woo hoo.. let's see what I should buy next! Yay....

Pearl Drops Extra Whitening FreshMint Toothpaste

I tend to use darlie, but in the recent years, I find that the normal darlie does not really produce any good results for my teeth.  Hence when I saw this toothpaste at Watson, I thought, why don't I give it a try?  No harm right?  Well, so here's the feedback from using it.

Does it work?  I guess it does to a certain extent.  I can see my coffee stains lessen, but that's pretty much it.  But for the price I paid, I did expect it to do a bit more than just removing my coffee stain (RM15.90 for it!).  But I guess it would be an experience.

I guess when you do buy this product, you got to bear in mind that there's no way it will whiten your teeth to the extend like those models who modeled for a whitening toothpaste.  It does/may reduce the colour of your teeth my one shade, but that's all for me.

Anyway, I doubt I will repeat this purchase again, not that it does not work, but it is very pricey for a toothpaste.

Facial Waxing ~ Miss Wax Away

Do you do waxing?  I find that waxing my upper lips helps to ensure that it looks clean and tidy, so I do it every so often, or whenever I do travel for a holiday =)

The brand that I use is Miss Wax Away by ElegantTouch.  I find that it is handy to use and it is quite good in removing the hair from my upper lips.  The one I use is the Mini Wax Strip range, with a total of 20 easy to use; formulate for sensitive skin.  Well, I always believe that the skin on our face is delicate and thus, I use this range.

Well, if it's your first time, I guess the pain's there, but after a while you do get used to it.  However, do take note that you cannot re-wax on one spot too many times because this will cause your skin to be reddish.  Worse still, it may injure your face!  Main thing is to ensure minimal waxing time on one spot, and it helps if you ensure that your skin is taunt.  You'll get a hang of it when you do it a few times.

What I love about this is:

1. Simple to use
It is as simple as peeling it and sticking it to your face!  What more can you ask for?

2. Clean
It's not like those messy hot wax whereby you need to heat it up, and may cause your fingers to be sticky.  Worse is when droplets of it falls on your table or even the floor. Urgh, hate the idea of needing to find ways to clean up the after waxing mess.  Trust me, it's no fun!

3. Handy
These mini strips are small enough to the point where you can bring it around with you and it continues to be discreet in your bag!  What's more, each of the strips are sticking to each other.  So you would only need to bring with you two strips rather than the whole box.  You can also keep it nicely inside your make up bag without worrying whether it will mess things up in your bag.

CrabTree & Evelyn Rosewater Hand Therapy

As I mentioned a few days ago, I received Crabtree & evelyn Rosewater Hand Therapy as a present from a friend. I was really excited and was pretty much making a lot of noise to show my excitement! Haha, I know... I do find that Crabtree & Evelyn's products to be quite expensive and thus, most of the time I would just do some window shopping rather than buying the actual product.

Viola! I got it as a gift.  Okay, here's the review.

If you are a person who likes floral scent, you would love this rosewater hand cream.  As for me, a person who don't really fancy floral scent, I find the rosewater smell is good.  It is not too strong, nor too light.  It does give you a very easy going feeling and I find that it makes me feel soothing whilst I was applying it.

It does have Shea Butter in it, but not as much as L'Occitane's En Provence Handcream I guess, cause it doesn't feel too oily, but yet, it gives ample nourishment.  Trust me one shea butter handcream from L'Occitane, but in terms of the absorbtion level, I find that Crabtree & Evelyn's score well.

It's quite a small bottle, at 25ml, but you just need to squeeze very little for it to nourish your whole hands.  In overall, I quite like this product.  A good item to have with you when you travel, given it's size.

Skin 79 BB Cream Samples

Guess what???? I bought myself some Skin 79 BB Cream Samples!  I was just checking out some BB Creams since mine is going to finish soon and I found this website that sells BB Cream.  Granted, it is from Singapore, but that didn't hinder me, since I do have some friends in Singapore who would be kind enough to assist me on this!  So, I got myself 4 tiny bottles of BB Creams!!!
Granted, the packaging isn't as fanciful as the above, but I managed to get myself on the following items:

1) Super+ BB (Hot Pink Collection)
2) Super+ BB (VIP Gold Label)
3) Prestige BB (Diamond Collection) OR
4) Oriental BB Cream

When the package arrived, guess what.  The lady was so sweet to include a small pack skinfood's BB suncream as a gift.  Cool right? I can't wait to get started using them!  Shall update here once I've tried it .. yippeeee...

L'Occitane En Provence Hand Cream Dry Skin

My hands are really dry, trust me... seriously dry.  My mom said I was born with rough hands, so if I do not put hand cream for like a couple of days, the roughness is very evident, to the point where if I were to clasp my hands together, I have this great urge to put on heaps of hand cream/moisturiser to get rid of the feeling.

And so, I bought this hand cream from L'Occitane.  It's expensive, costing about RM35, but I figured, why not give it a try, since it's written that it's made of 20% Shea Butter and it is for dry skin.  The SA told me that I only need to apply very little on my hand and it will feel nourished.  Anyhow I was looking for something to help me hit RM200 so that I can become a member =p, and this was the cheapest (yea, their things are seriously expensive).

The verdict:

Moisture level - is deemed high.  My hands do feeling nourished once I've applied it.  It doesn't absorb into my skin as fast as I want to, so you gotta be slightly patient to wait for it to sink into your skin.

Sticky feeling - it's there.  I guess it's cause it's made from Shea Butter, so it does feel oily once you've applied it.  It takes a while for the oiliness to go away, probably the same time for it to sink into your skin, so I would suggest that you apply it just before you turn the light off to sleep.  At least you won't get your whole room or notebook oiled up, like me!

Long lasting - Since I tend to use it at night, the feeling that my hands aren't that dry is evident in the morning still. So I guess it does last long.  But then again, if you use it during the day time, maybe it won't since you may end up washing your hands often for whatever reason it may be.

Value for money - For a hand cream, it does seem pricey if you tend to purchase those over the counter products.  But I guess it'll make a great gift for friends and family =))  Nonetheless, if you think that RM35 for a 12ml is worth it, then I guess, no harm going for it =)  You may still want to get something else for day use, since, to me, I feel it's more of a night time use =)

Guess what I got from a friend as my pressie for my birthday???

I'm sooo gonna review this next.  So do look forward to it alright =)

Benefit's "That Gal"

If your skin is always looking pale or dull or even sickly, this is the thing that you MUST GET!! hahaa... okay, okay, I know... kinda dramatic.  But if your skin is any like mine, to the point where some people actually commented that I look sick without make up, you may want to try using this on days where you feel like walking around or stepping out of your house for a few minutes without make up.  What it does is seriously cool!  When I wake up the in the morning, I look really dread-y and dull.  So what I do after my sunblock and moisturiser is to prime my cheeks and nose bridge area with just a teeny weeny bit of this wonderful primer, and my face looks totally refreshed and glow-y.  There are days when I feel sooo lazy putting make up that I just prime up my face with this cutesy and wonderful primer and off I go!

Well now, it helps that it comes in a very cute bottle! I just love Benefit's packaging! ops, and it's products as well =)

Storing Make Up and Facial Stuff

Can someone share with me how they store their make up and facial stuff? I find myself at loss! My things are so cluttered right now that I wonder how I should re-organise them! Hahaha.. my gosh, I do know that as girls, we tend to have a lot of make up stuff and facial stuff?  So do share with me on how you keep them?  Better yet, why don't you take a picture and share with me???

L'Oreal Derma Genesis Pore Minimizing Smoother

Check it out! L'Oreal Derma Genesis Pore Minimizing Smoother. Okay, I am not sure if there's a hype out there about this product, but I'm going to write a review on it.

Just some background info. My skin hasn't been all that great. Although I am fair, I feel that my skin is dull, lacks that glow. And, having tried Loreal products in the past and finding that my skin is not suitable for it, I've stopped for year.

Recently, a friend of mine gave me this bottle of Pore Minimizing Smoother to try. So I thought, why not? And that was almost one month ago. I figured I really need to do a review on this because girls, I AM EXCITED over it.

Like I said, my skin is dull. When I used it the first time, my first reaction was like, oh, it's not oily. Nor does it makes your skin feel sticky (I hate those sticky feeling.. urgh). And after that, when I look in the mirror, I saw that my skin looks slightly brighter and glowy on my cheeks. I didnt think too much about it as I was happy that my skin did not give me that tingly feeling when the product doesn't suit me, and I thought, oh okay, looks like I might be able to use this product then.

As I continue to use it, I realised that my skin is no longer that dull. It does look brighter and I love the pinkish glow on my cheeks. It is very natural and when you touch your skin, you will feel that it's smoother.

My friend shared with me that it's because it uses Hyaluronic Acid, which has anti aging elements in it. What I found out about this ingredient is that it helps to repair our skin which has been exposed to the many elements out there. And this is what happens to our skin when we are exposed to too many elements:

"When skin is excessively exposed to UVB rays, it becomes inflamed (sunburn) and the cells in the dermis stop producing as much hyaluronan, and increase the rate of its degradation." from Wiki.

Although it is slightly pricier counter products, I figured that if it works well for me, I might want to buy the whole range of their products! hehe...

Oh by the way, I know right now we love the idea of instant results.  But like any other products, I do believe that it will take a few months before results could be seen.  So in this case, I am going to be sticking to this products for about three months (as per advice by a friend) to see how the results would be like.

And whilst I'm writing this, my skin is clear from any make up or even moisturiser, and I do see that my cheeks are rosy pink =)  Don't you just love this product!

It's Official - A Big NO NO to iZone Contact Lens

Alright mates, it's official. This contact lens brand sucks. No wonder they had to change their name and rebrand the product. Why? Because I paid for monthly disposals which only works for 2 weeks! Aiyo... I still have 4 more pairs to go. Sigh... wasted my money

Sorry! Been away!

So so sorry for not updating. I have been away for a couple of weeks for a trip back to Melbourne (bought some stuff too.. hehe, shall share it here later ok!) and last week was my church's 75th Anniversary (actually it was on Sunday) so I've been quite busy with the unpacking and the runnings of the event.

I'll update as soon as I could. In the meanwhile, thanks everyone for reading =)

Noblesse Oblige BB Cream by Ianti

Sorry mates, been rather busy with things for the past few days! Couldn't find time to update this blog of mine!

For those of you who are reading, you would know that I tend to buy a lot of things from Ianti. Why? Cause I find that the products are priced reasonably, making it affordable and it is also good for my skin. For me, I do think that generally Korean made products are alright for our skin because of the natural ingredients used, plus they are products for Asian skins! I find those other brands are not really suited for me, for caucasian I feel. Well, I am entitled to my opinions =)

Anyway, I have been using this BB cream for the past two months (I know, I know!! I ought to have written about them earlier) and I guess it's time for me to write a review for it.

For those who do use BB cream, you would know that it is like a multiple in one kind of facial cream, that means, moisturiser, sunblock, make up base, foundation all in one. The one I am using is a sub-brand by Ianti (totally different packaging I tell you!), Noblesse Oblige.

Let me share what I think about it. For one, it can't work for my skin as a moisturiser! Why? I have combination skin, when I applied it on my cheeks, which tends to be the drier part of my face, I noticed that my skin was scaling! I figured that it doesn't provide enough moisture for me on those parts, so what I do is I will apply a layer of moisturiser before applying the BB Cream onto my face. Of course, I would have done the wash and tone regime beforehand *wink*.

Secondly, I am a little disappointed with the sunblock part. Why? Cause it only comes with SPF15; not even any ++. Given this part of the world, I do think that for now, we ought to be using +++ already! But given the lazy me, I don't actually apply another layer of sunblock, cause I don't want my skin to get oiler and also, I basically drive and stay cooped at work, so I don't really need that strong of a sunblock I guess =P Lazy la, lazy..

Thirdly, it works alright as a make up base. As my skin is quite pigmented (due to lack of care when I was much younger =(( ) it doesn't really work as a concealer for my skin. So if your skin is like mine, you would probably need another layer of concealer before applying it. But as make up base, it works well for my skin. I don't make up a lot, but it works to ensure that my skin is protected and I don't actually need to put any foundation after that. All I do is to dust a bit of the loose powder on my face as oil control.

I have been using it for two months now, and I still have half a bottle left. The sales lady told me that it ought to last for about 4 to 5 months, so I guess what she shared is true. It's actually not a very big bottle, just merely 50ml/1.7 fl oz.

Another thing is that they have actually come out with a full range of products i.e. day cream, night cream, compact powder and etc! I did not buy them, though the sales lady was kind enough to give me a sample of the day and night cream. Haven't tried them though (not cheap!)

Anyway, I think this is quite alright if your skin is normal to oily. Not suited for those who have dry skin, unless you want to use it as your make up base/foundation. Just make sure you put a layer of moisturiser on your skin first alright.

I saw the Oriental BB Cream from KBS! I guess that would be my targe next! Muahahaha...

Daiso' Lip Gloss No. 7

Oh! I found the lip gloss colour that I really want!!! Honestly, I have problems with finding the right shade of lip gloss/ stick because I don't really know what I want. All I know is that I want it to be as close to my lip colour as possible and that it would look as nude and as natural as possible.
And now, I found it! And it's cheap! Everyone knows that it's only RM5 per item in Daiso, and I never really thought that I would be able to find the colour that I want. What's more, it comes in the lip brush format, making application simple and easy.

What's more, I like the fact that it's recycable. I know, I know, everyone says, it won't make much of a difference right? Well, I would think that if one person does recycle, it does make a difference to our environment.

I think I shall scout for more things soon in Daiso. Too bad the Eyeliner Coat is sold out. Else, I would've bought it! I saw the eyebrow coat, but don't think I need it though.

More to come, more to come. Gosh, I've bought so many items and I've yet to actually write about them. Definitely need to spend more time testing them and writing about them already!!

Ianti Luxe Jewelry Facial Foam Cleanser

It's tough finding the right facial cleanser when your skin seems to be having a preference of its own. I have problem finding a right and suitable cleanser, thus I always end up changing cleanser everytime and it's been going on for years now!

Guess what! I've finally found the RIGHT CLEANSER FOR MY SKIN! haha.. okay okay, I should calm down, shouldn't I? I'm excited with this, because, not only it is right for my skin, the price is reasonable too. How did I came about it? Well, there's sale at Ianti right now (as mentioned here) and I was just scouring the products there for bargains. My colleagues and I noticed that there is a 50% discount for the facial wash, which means it will only cost me about RM11 for the facial wash (mind you, it's for 120ml). We thought to ourselves, what a bargain and proceeded to purchase it to test, and I was about to finish my facial wash anyway. So thus, we made the purchase and I ended up leaving it lying around for like a couple of weeks.

Two days ago, I started using it, and boy, am I happy with the results. Not only my skin was not having that pulling effect (due to the skin being too dry after a wash), it cleanses well too. The previous facial wash I was using, Bio Essence Tanaka White Facial Wash, left my skin feeling oily and sticky after a wash, and this is totally different! I can feel that it cleanses deep into my skin, and it still leaves me feel refresh and vibrant after the wash.

I think the best part is that I only need to squeeze very little and the foam does wonders. Trust me, I've used foam type facial wash which left my skin feeling dry and yucky, but this doesn't. I'm so happy with the result!! Oh, my colleague who bought it gave me the same comment too, she loves it! We are planning to do some stocking of this product since Ianti will be giving the 50% discount for it again next week (2 Aug - 8 Aug)! I'm so excited... can't wait for it.

By the way, I bought it's Milk Mask too! Shall share the review on it another day, but it's definitely a positive review!)

ianti having sale now!!!

Oh my gosh!!! Ianti is having a major sale right now. Alright, I know I'm getting way wayyyy excited about it. But seriously, it's MAJOR. I've been working here for almost one year now, and I've not seen it on sale before. And when I say it's MAJOR, I'm talking about products for up till 70% discount. And things are probably costing less than RM10.

For those who have not used ianti before, I seriously would urge you to check it out. I mean, it IS one of those Korean brand shops, but I do think that some of them (think skinfood) are getting a little over priced for their products. This ones are still okay, and they carry different range of products under their shop.

I particularly like their ianti branded products, and they are REALLY NICE. Shall update you about the products later.

Seriously, the sale is until 8th August 09, so if you do have time, do drop by their shops and check it out. I am talking about facial wash at 50% discount sitting at RM10, masks at less than RM10 and a lot more. Psst Psst, everything else that is there less 20% discount ok! So don't miss this! Really!!

New Contact Lens iZone

Bought this new monthly contact lens for RM84 for 2 boxes. Why so cheap? Because Vision Plus is having a promotion and thus the offer.

And now, I kinda regret it =( Why? I tried my first pair 2 weeks ago, and boy, it pricks me eyes! I totally do not feel comfortable with it. I am not sure if it's cause of the different solution that I was using, cause when I used it with B & L solution, it was alright for that day. But after that, when I used the other solution, the uncomfortable feeling came again!

What's more, it caused me to had to leave work early because I was having a very bad headache after that. Sigh, I have like 5 more pairs to go. Am already thinking of using them for 2 weeks and throw! Aiyoo... anyway, shall try me 2nd pair at a much later time, cause I had to buy a different box (Acuvue) instead to change on the day my head was feeling bad... man.... sigh.. 5 more pairs!! ARGHHHH

First one: Biotherm's Aquatrio Program

I received an sms on Wednesday informing me I can get a 5-day samples from Biotherm. Since I work in a shopping mall, I dropped by Metrojaya to collect it. Five days of Biotherm Aquatrio Program. I'll probably use it when I go travelling, does come in handy cause I won't need to carry all my facial wash bottles and all. I got this sample before, when I went with a friend who wants to try Biotherm. The lady gave this to me as a sample, I guess in hopes that after trying it, I will also want to buy it. Anyway, will share how the goodies work when I use it, since I am travelling soon =) Yippee!!
Second is Ciba Vision Dailies: One Day Contact Lenses

I was really excited when I saw this! Why? Cause my contact lens is about to expire (due for a change) and I have yet to purchase a new monthly contact lens. So, on Thursday when I got an sms from DIGI again, I told my colleague, let's go and get it! Incidentally, my colleague also uses DIGI and she got the same sms!! Ain't it cool??!! So, off we went, to Optical 88 to get our 5-day daily contact lens. I havent used it yet, and I've already bought my monthly disposable (that's another story to tell), so most probably will also only use this when I go travel. Easy ma, just use for one day and then throw!

So, it's good. Thank you once again to DIGI for all the freebies. And I am looking forward for more from DIGI too! hahah...

B-liv by Cellnique ~ Off with those heads!

The name itself literally screams the inner voice in my heart!

Seriously, the "off with those heads" are such eye catchers!

In a way, it does reminds me of those fancy names by Benefit, cute and really really heart catching.

Okay, back to the review part. I've always had a problem with blackheads and whiteheads (hm.. do wonder who don't!) and it's such a nuisance trying to rid of them, because it does involves a lot of painful pressing and pinching! Anyway, I was googling for a solution and I came across this! Having read some reviews and read some forums about it, I decided to give it a try.

Incidentally, when I was wanting to purchase it, there was a promotion by Guardian, you get two at a 20% discount. Well now, this small little bottle ain't cheap ok! It costs like RM139 for a 30ml. Anyhow, with the discount, I managed to persuade my colleague to buy for as well (since it's two and it's too costly for me to buy two!). When the opened up the box, we were quite stunned at its size (yea, we do know it's only 30ml, but to see it literally can be quite shocking, since we paid quite a lot for it, ya know what I mean?).

Anyhow, we've purchased it, and thus the experiment begins. It states in the box that the area which you applied it will feel oily in the beginning, and really it does! I can feel the oiliness and literally see the glint when I look in the mirror. Gosh, you don't even need glitter powder to see the T zone area glinting back at you. Anyway, after a few days of putting it day and night onto my T zone area, especially the nose, I decided that it's time to do the stick and remove process! Anyway, I got my pore pack from Softymo (it's better than Biore, seriously!) and stuck it to my nose. It's peeling time half an hour later. Lo and behold, the amount of whiteheads and blackheads that is removed is soo much more than usual! It literally works man. I can see that my nose is MUCH MUCH cleaner ok.

During a sharing session with my colleague, she states that she tried it and after a few days, her attempt to use her fingers to press her pores was successful and painless! It literally just came out.

Short to say the least, both of us are happy with this small little expensive bottle and we came to the conclusion that it's a good buy. I'm already thinking of getting a bottle for my boyfriend, but probably later, since it is rather expensive.

By the way, there is a promotion at Sasa at the moment, whereby you can get the pro sebum gel and the moisturizer at RM200, along with some of the rest of its products in sample size. Quite a good buy, if you have the cash that is =)

Detox 5th & Tada! Da Last Day

It has come to an end for Kinohimitsu's 6-Day Detox Juice's review from me. To say the least, I will say goodbye to it for now... okay... enough of the melodrama...

I know I've written a "dissatisfied" comment on it two days ago. And I am surprised that the Juice did gave me a surprise!

From yesterday and today, I realised that instead of waiting for 2 to 4 hours later after my meal that I had to go to the toilet, but instead, I felt the need to go within half an hour or so. And boy, did my stomach clear itself!

Seriously, it's a GOOD feeling! Haha.... I guess what happened was that there wasn't a lot to clear? Or maybe I did not drink enough water to help flush my system (just guesses, not sure if drinking water makes a lot of difference anyway).

Well, I guess taking the detox juice does help. But seriously, I doubt I can do it like very often since it is rather costly. Probably from nowon, what I need to do is to eat more oats and drink more water (it does help to clean up your body).

More reviews to come on other items! Hope you all will look forward to it =)

Detox Day 4

Sadly, the desire to go to the toilet has decreased. What's more, even if I go, it feels as though the normal type of trip once again. The feeling of dissatisfaction after going (you know what I mean right) is back! I feel like screaming ARGHHH.... cause I seriously dislike the feeling of it.

Is this the end of Kinohimitsu for me? I seriously don't know. I'm left with 2 more bottles. Am I giving justice if I were to give a verdict of it's ability (or disability) to help me detox? Hm... I guess, I shall be nice and give a verdict only after I finished all the 6 bottles. Aih, I also am unsure what I should write for now.

In the meanwhile, I guess what I can do is finish all 6 bottles and probably start scouting for alternatives. What an expensive experiment this is....

Changing Website Layout

I'm still trying to figure out things on this website! Haha, so forgive me if you find that things keep changing... it's definitely crazy trying to figure how and where to put certain things. What's more, I feel like I want sooo many things on the site... and then there's the dilemma of it being overcrowded.

Girls can be quite fickle sometimes, and what to say, I am a girl at that and I am feeling very fickle in terms of how I want this website to be! Let's hope I can get this website well settled down soon and then I'll probably start fiddling and writing about other things besides how the changes of the blog is going to be!

Detox 3rd Day

Okay, it's the third day... and the verdict is... wellll... I don't really go to the toilet like every few hours or whatsoever, but I do go like once a day. And things are getting DARKER! Haha.. seriously, I don't know whether it is working or not, but I do know that the feeling of wanting to go but unable to is not there anymore. It's more like the urge is seriously there and when I do go, it's okay.

Oh, I did manage to go on the 2nd day btw. Not too great a feeling, but at least you feel slightly better, you know what I mean.

3 more bottles. Let's see, like, seriously, how efficient it will be!

Kinohimitsu Cranberry D'Tox Juice (2nd bottle)

Result from 1st bottle... zilch. I didn't go to toilet at all, well, except for the slight feeling of wanting to go. Went to bed at 12 plus not feeling anything, so, go figure.

Anyhow, since it's a 6-day detox programme, maybe it's not effective yet? I took my 2nd bottle this morning after breakfast. And I did go to the loo! But it's not like it's a lot or anything. I just need to go! And the feeling that there is still more to come is there too. Hm, oh well.. let's hope later I get to go again.

Let's see if anything changes later this evening =) Will update again

Kinohimitsu Cranberry D'tox Juice

,Ever feel like going to the loo but yet nothing came out? Ever felt restless because of it? Well, I've been feeling it for the past few weeks! What a horrible feeling it was.

Well, I've been seeing this Kinohimitsu brand for quite a while and I've actually used their health pads before (that's for a different time), so it really does piques my curiosity as to how effective their 6-Day D'Tox Juice would work. After surveying the price (thank God for MEGA SALES NOW), I finally bought the Kinohimitsu J'pan D'Tox Juice 6-Day Program (Cranberry flavour) for RM65.40 at Sasa (UP at RM69.90).

The one I bought has a different packaging than the normal ones. Apparently, the sales lady informed me that this packaging was done up for Mother's Day and Father's Day purpose, and because they still have stock, so they are selling it at a slightly cheaper price. I think the UP for the normal packaging was at RM70 plus (don't exactly remember).

A total of 6 bottles. Definitely quite pricey, but hey, if it works, the price ought to be worth it I guess. Below are some of the stuff written at the back of the box:

Natural, Safe:
  • Natural concentrated extracted fruit juices
  • No additives, no preservatives
Effective:
  • Fast results within 2-4 hours, after intake
  • Promote bowel movements, without strenuous effort

Convenient:

  • An instant, functional drink ready for immediate consumption, for your enjoyment anytime, anywhere
  • A 6-Day Program that is ideal for those with busy, stressful lifestyle
  • No special control diet is needed

Gentle:

  • No discomfort, unpleasant experiences such as extreme fatigue, headache, bad breathe or allergy reaction

Do you have:

  • Busy, stressful life
  • Ireegular meals and eating processed food
  • Constant exposure to unhealthy environment, air, water pollution
  • In just 6 Days, Kinohimistu J'pan D'Tox leaves you feeling renew, refresh and revitalize!

Usage:
Shake well before drinking. 1 bottle each time, preferably after food. Taste excellent when chilled. 1-3 bottles per week, or as needed.

First time Users:
1 bottle a day, consecutively for 6 days.
Suggestion: best to have it 2-4 hours before planning for defecation.

Well now, I've taken one bottle earlier today, at about 7plus pm. Waiting for things to happen I guess right now. There is a slight feeling of wanting to go to the toilet, but I guess will probably need to wait a bit longer.

Shall continue to update (everyday of the results if possible).

In the meanwhile, do check it out at the nearest pharmacy or Sasa near you if interested =)

New Blog

I used blogpost like, ages ago! And I decided to start blogging here again, for a different purpose.

You see, I like to go online to search for reviews on products and such, and sometimes I find that it's tough getting reviews for some of the stuff that I want to buy or even for stuff that I ended up buying and using!

So I'll probably be using this blog as a place where I can share about the things that I have purchased and used, as well as, hopefully, get feedback from others too!!
