Clean & Clear Active Clear

Why did I buy it in the first place?  Well, I was having some issues with my skin and pimples were popping up.  To wait on it to go off naturally or to use the mung bean yoghurt does take a bit of time.  I saw this at Guardian selling for about RM10++ and I thought it was a good try.

When I first tried it, I didn't really like it and kinda left it on its own.  However, after a period of time, my skin started to act up again and I decided, why don't I give it a try?

What I like about it?
1. The pimple subsides.  I gotta admit that the size went down rather quickly.  I can see results the very next day if it's small.  But if it's a big one, it does take a couple of days.  Rather long I know, but at least it's faster than when you don't apply anything.

2. It doesn't dry my skin out.  I've used those that dry the whole area up and it starts peeling. Ew, I really dislike those!  But this one works naturally, my skin doesn't peel, the pimple just subsides.  You can actually feel the pimples going flat, which is good! hehe...

Whenever I see a pimple pop up, I will apply this gel on top of the spot until I feel that it can go off.  However, one thing to bear in mind is that it doesn't reduce the blemish.  I can still see a patch of red on my skin, but it does gets smaller as your pimples goes smaller, thank God for that!

Is this a miracle item? Definitely not.  But it works and it's affordable and economical.  I've not used any expensive ones to compare, but we shall see.  I've been using this for months and it's still going.  Definitely a good, good buy.

Hauled my Daiso Make Up Remover

As I mentioned a couple of post before this that I've finished up my cleansing sheet.  So last weekend when a friend of mine came for a visit from Singapore, we dropped by Daiso for a while, as I wanted to top up.  Guess what! I found the 239 Cleansing Sheet (I remember it by the colour of the box). Initially I took a couple of the pink coloured box (236 I think) and when I saw this one, I quickly put back the pink ones and grabbed all the remaining green boxes. There's only 3 left and poof, there it goes onto my hand.

These 3 boxes will last me about 3 months, so that's good buy, very economical given that it's RM5 per box.  I like it cause I don't use heavy make up and this works for me as a cleansing sheet prior to my wash off using my cleansing oil.  I guess that means I triple cleanse? Well, with this wipe, I feel it removes the outer layer of make up that's sitting on top of my skin whereas the cleansing oil helps to remove those left over in the pores. My cleanser helps to do a thorough wash all over =D

Finished! Daiso's Cleansing Make Up Remover Sheet

I finished this two boxes of cleansing sheet in a span of 2 months.  I would have to say that these two are good purchases.  They are thick enough to allow me to work it on my face, twice the size of , and not harsh on the skin.  However, I don't use them to remove my eye make up because I do rub a fair bit to get rid of my eyeliner, so it can turned harsh.

I got them for RM5 per box at Daiso, and I'll definitely go and restock when I have the chance.

Mind you, I do double cleanse as my regular routine.

Upsize Wendy's Burger; thanks to WorthyBook coupon! Wheeee

There's a Wendy's near my office and when my friend "chio" me for lunch, I said, shall we go Wendy's?  Usually I don't go to Wendy's often because I find that it is rather expensive.  But thanks to the fact that I got a Worthy Book and inside it, VIOLA, got vouchers for Wendy's!
Got myself to use this coupon!  But the portion goes to my guy friend who can eat a lot =p
This is my friend's TRIPLE MUSHROOM Burger.  I went blur when I saw it @.@

Surprisingly, they gave us an additional mid-size fries and these are the balance of it.  Couldn't finish it coz it was 1 large pack of fries and 2 medium pack fries @.@

I was so stuffed after that, that I felt like sleeping in the office... but it was an enjoyable meal all the more fun because I get to use vouchers! Wheee

Cosmetic Decluttering!

Taking the cue from Evening Lavender, I decided to scout through my little make up pack to declutter some of the old stuff.  To be honest, I don't make up a whole lot in the past so there isn't much, but there were still that few little counts.

I know she did hers nearing year end, but I'm doing mine beginning of the year, so that I can clear away those unwanted stuff.  Will probably be posting more of my decluttering these coming weeks.

the first few items to hit my rubbish bin!

Red Earth Perfect Line - I love this eye liner! It stays put on top of my eye shadows throughout the day.  It's quite rare given that I have oily eyelids.  I got it in brown and love it.  I had to bin it because it's been with me for more than one year and the last few times I had it on, my lids felt heavy and uncomfortable =(  Off it goes.

In2It Liquid Eye Liner - This is one of the first few liquid eyeliner that I bought when I first wanting to give a try on it.  It failed miserably because I always end up looking like a panda after a couple of hours.  It's been in my drawer for eons so I guess it's high time I bin it.

Red Earth lip gloss - I got this many, many years ago and somehow it stayed hidden in my drawer without me noticing it.  I love how it just stays on my lips, giving it a slight hint of shimmer.  Goes perfectly on days when I am feeling lazy and wanting simplicity.  Well, I had to bin it cause it's been years since I've last used it and make up, as you know, can't last that long.

Ianti Green Shimmer eye shadow - This is also one of my first few eye make up items.  I like the light shimmer it gave, but I hated how it's so hard to apply on! It's hard and because the colour doesn't melt onto your eye lids, it does get quite painful at times when I try to apply it directly.  After a while, I gave up and it was sitting at that little corner of my drawer.

It's not a whole lot, but then again, it's a start!

Question: What Would You Do?

I have a question here to ask of you.  What would you do if you realised that your job is not suited for you?  Would you just quit?  Or would you continue to wait and see how things would go?

Nivea Pinkish Boost 3 in 1

My new job requires me to be more formal, as well as to look appropriate as there are times when I need to meet up with clients as well as interview people.  That means a HUGE change in my wardrobe; as well as some topping up in the make up department.

One thing that I still am not used to is lipstick or lipgloss.  I find them rather troublesome and a bit too much effort for me to colour my lip every now and then.  So when I chance upon Nivea Pinkish Boost 3 in 1, I just had to grab it.

What really attracted me was it's description:

One thing, it takes a little getting used to because it's more liquid-y as compared to other lip balms.  I guess I can take it as sort of like a lip gloss minus the sticky feeling.

I like the fact that it gives my lip a hint of colour, without overpowering it.  Also, it does quite well staying put on my lips.  The only time it disappears is when I have my meal =p  One thing though, because my lip tends to crack rather easily, it does not work well to hydrate my lip to make sure it stays nourished.  I guess I will need to do a bit of lip pampering on top of using this lip balm.  Bear in mind though, I'm not saying its not hydrating, it's just that my lip tends to be rather dry.  So if you are always battling dry lips, you may want to use this as a secondary lip balm rather than your main one.

Oh wait, there's another thing that I was annoyed with.  Because it's made out of plastic, the tip of the lip balm cuts my lip a little because the plastic was not even.  I'm not sure if it's the same for the rest, but mine hurts.  It didn't bleed, but the pain was there.  I had to cut/trim the edges to get rid of the risk.  So do test it out first on your finger before you go for it on your lip.

Will I rebuy?  I guess I don't mind =D

Price: RM4.71 at Guardian (they had a RM2 off voucher next to it!)
