Clear 38

This was recommended to me buy my optometrist, saying that it's a brand from Singapore and there are many who are buying it to try.  I decided to give it a try since, heck, the Bausch & Loamb which was supposed to be working for my eyes seems to be giving me issues out of the blue.

Initially, I really like this.  It is quite comfy and it seems to work well for me.  However, for some strange reason, it started giving me issues during my last pair and couldn't last me for 4 weeks.  I though, hey, maybe it is just that pair and I bought another box of three pairs to try.  Again, first pair works, but second and third pairs started to fail me.  It was causing my eyes to be dry and I was fast getting headache from wearing this contact lens.

Will I repurchase again?  Sadly, no.  It is not working and these couple of weeks I've resorted to wearing my spectacles in order to give my eyes some breathing space.

I guess it is now off to look for another suitable monthly lenses.

Any recommendations, anyone?

I think overall, the lenses are rather comfy and good to wear.  I don't always wear it for long hours so I cannot vouch for it, but it's good to go for a fun night out =D  I like the pure hazel more than gray because it feels more natural and yet gives you a bit of the omph! If you could see, I can actually go easy on my eye make up because the lenses made my eyes pop up! Woo hoo.. this is gonna be great for days when I feel lazy to do my eye make up.. hehe

I think one of the best thing about MrLens.com.my is this: they have incorporated numerous programs which are attractive and would make customers want to return to their website.  One of them is the ·  Recommend a Friend Program and MrLens.com.my

Woo hoo!  Okay, recently Tammy from Plusizekitten put up a FB post about a review of Freshlook Colourblends Contact Lens by www.MrLens.com.my
.  Me being me, I quickly message her that I want to take part it in.  Mind you, she has heaps of people following website and postings and you seriously have to grab the chance whenever there are things out for review from her.

Boy, am I glad I did that because I've been selected! I'm really, really excited because it's been a while since I've worn colored lenses and I can't wait to do so.

Freshkon Color Fusion: Warm Hazel

I have an admission to make, I'm currently addicted to colour lens! Whee!  There was a promotion last time whereby you get to buy 3 pairs of FreshKon Colors Fushion for RM120.  My friend and I decided to share and grab them =D  I ended up with Warm Hazel.

So how did it fair?  I think I shocked myself when I saw my own eyes in the mirror! Woah!  It's super sharp and the colour is more gold than hazel.  Someone actually commented that I look like one of those dancers in the MV Thriller =.="  No idea if that's good, or bad, but it was some attention grabbing that I had for that one month I was wearing it =p

In terms of comfort wise, I don't have much of an issue with it.  It's a monthly disposable lens, so it does work as a monthly disposable lens.  Water content is okay, so I don't have much discomfort unless I wear it for more than 12 hours straight for a few days.  In terms of buy, I guess, for colour lens it's an okay buy.  You definitely cannot compare it with the normal monthly disposable lens =D

Auto Lens Cleaner

I'm a little hooked to coloured lens recently and as I was browsing around for some good bargains, I got attracted to the Auto Lens Cleaner that I found.  As I was already eye-ing on the auto lens that is out in the market (sold for about RM90), I figured this is quite interesting as it is so much cheaper than those sold out in the market.  So, almost (really, it's just almost!) acting on impulse, I contacted my friend and requested for the purchase of the Auto Lens Cleaner.  The cleaner comes in 3 colours:  baby green, baby blue and baby pink; and they are really really sweet colours.  I wanted the green colour (I seem to always be attracted to green @.@) but I was informed that they only have pink colour in stock (it's ready stock).  So pink it is.

When I got it, the first impression I got was, i hearts the box! I love the sexy pink (got suckered to loving pink de).  It was quite small, and a little unexpected.

Excitedly, when I got home, I quickly open and examine it.  Haha, I guess girls tend to do that right?  When I saw the cleaner itself, the thought that "oh, it's so cute n sweet!" popped into my mind.

I didn't have the chance to try it out until a couple of days ago as it does not come with the AAA battery it needed to function and I kept forgetting to buy it! (hafta admit that I was a little lazy to go to the shops to get it too =p)  So, I finally managed to get the battery and viola, it's testing time.

My lenses was kinda giving me a tad bit problem, probably cause I wasn't soaking it long enough (late nights) and was wearing it long hours.  So off the lenses go, into the container and the cleaning time starts.  There's this little button at the side that you need to hold in order for it to start functioning.  It works like a little vibrator, so you'll need to hold it as long as you want and look at your lenses vibrating inside the casing!

The good part, I find that my lens feels better to wear.  I've tested it for a few days now and it continues to feel the same, so I guess it works eh??!

Downside though, is the fact that you need to keep pressing the button. Imagine one of your hand is actually bogged down to press the little button for at least 3 minutes (I gotta admit I don't press it for that long.  Sometimes I hold it, let go for a while, then goes back n hold the button again =p).  You get the idea.  Another is, the vibrating sound is kinda annoying as well.  It just keeps going zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzz whilst you press it.

All in all, for the price, I guess it's okay.  I never tried the Lens2 which is sold in Malaysia's optical shops, so I can't compare.  If you are using it, do let me know.  Maybe a few months down the road later, I might just get Lens2 to give it a go =)

Bausch & Lomb Free Trial Contact Lens

People!  Have you heard of HD contact lens?  Well, when I heard it, I was a tad bit surprised too.  The thought that crossed my mind was really, "woah, TV got HD, so now contact lens also got HD?"  Don't know much about it, but was walking around Sungai Wang during lunch time when I came across a brochure about it.

Some of the key features listed:

• high definition optics technology for crystal clear vision, especially in low lights
• moisture-rich surface
• comfort enhancing features
• better oxygen transmissibility
• minimise protein uptake, healthy lens wear
• easy handling packing

Some of the other pointers that they share is that apparently with this lens, you'll get

• better vision in low light conditions
• reduced halos
• enhanced contrast
• sharper detail

Okay, okay, I'm sure you're wondering what's the free trial is all about right?  Ta da, all you have to do is to login to myHDmoments.com and click in "Free Trial".  After filling up a standard form, you'll get a voucher (gotta print it yourself though) whereby you can redeem three pairs of these lenses for use.  I think it's cool that they are doing this, cause it helps to reduce my fear (yes I do fear, come on, it's something you put into your eyes okay) and at the same time, they benefit too (the usual marketing promotional stuff).

By the way, it's a daily disposable lens; one day one pair....Not sure if they have this on a monthly basis, but I guess if it's good, it's worth trying the monthly one then.  Will review on it later =)

It's Official - A Big NO NO to iZone Contact Lens

Alright mates, it's official. This contact lens brand sucks. No wonder they had to change their name and rebrand the product. Why? Because I paid for monthly disposals which only works for 2 weeks! Aiyo... I still have 4 more pairs to go. Sigh... wasted my money

New Contact Lens iZone

Bought this new monthly contact lens for RM84 for 2 boxes. Why so cheap? Because Vision Plus is having a promotion and thus the offer.

And now, I kinda regret it =( Why? I tried my first pair 2 weeks ago, and boy, it pricks me eyes! I totally do not feel comfortable with it. I am not sure if it's cause of the different solution that I was using, cause when I used it with B & L solution, it was alright for that day. But after that, when I used the other solution, the uncomfortable feeling came again!

What's more, it caused me to had to leave work early because I was having a very bad headache after that. Sigh, I have like 5 more pairs to go. Am already thinking of using them for 2 weeks and throw! Aiyoo... anyway, shall try me 2nd pair at a much later time, cause I had to buy a different box (Acuvue) instead to change on the day my head was feeling bad... man.... sigh.. 5 more pairs!! ARGHHHH
