With the year drawing to an end, I wanted something less sombre and more cheerful. I was at Etude House recently and my attention was caught by this cute lil' teal nail polish. It's matte, but in picture, it doesn't show as much.
I do find the texture slightly thick. I'm not sure if it's because it's matte as this is my very first matte nail polish. But for the price of RM9.90 (there's discounts, so I get to pay less for it too, yay, score!) I do think that it is doable.
p/s: please excuse the poor application eh? Been a while since I've done up my nails. My skills have turned rusty :(

Binning Time... Again! July, August & September (eeps, 3 months de??)
This is probably my most (will be at the least) most active posting ever. The focus this year has really been about clearing and binning all those that I have and thus, there isn't much posting of things that I've bought and used (unless they are finished).
Also, with the busy-ness of work and etc, I do find it a struggle to blog as much as I wish I could. Maybe in time, I will be able to find more time to blog, but for now, do bear with me and my sparsely updated blog.
Garnier Aqua Defense Moisturising Gel
I've finished 2 of them in the span of 3 months. Quite gung ho with it...
Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil
Definitely my favourite brand of cleansing oil. During my recent trip to Hong Kong, I've stocked up more! Woo hoo
Elken Ultimate Perfect Clarifying Lotion
Just another toner which I got when I was using Elken products. it does help as clarifying lotion, and I tend to use it during the night to do a final cleansing of the face before I start my skincare regime for the night. Does it job, but not a rebuy coz it's expensive and there's others for me to try out =D
Aiken Daily Sunscreen Face & Body
Nature Republic Color Day Apple Nail Remover
I've had it for a while since I have the tendency to start and stop my self-manicuring habits =p
Maybelline Unstoppable Lash Extension Mascara
I just realised that I've never posted about this mascara. I've had it for the longest time and had to stop using it cause it was starting to irritate my eyes (I'm a mascara slacker you see, only on occasions do I wear mascara). I love the wand as it could reach to those short little lashes at the inner corner of my eyes. Didn't repurchase as I don't see it around, as well as the fact that there's too many out there!
There's definitely some goodies which I bought during my recent trip to Bangkok and it is just a matter of time before, I guess, I start being active in blogging again. Till the next time!

Blog Post to Check Out
This is definitely a first time for me but I couldn't resist introducing people to this blog, as well as this wonderful post done by Juli at Bun Bun Makeup Tips. I've been battling with facial acne these few weeks and it was horrendous! I've tried changing and testing to see which products were causing my skin to break out all of a sudden, AGAIN!
This blog post helps me to re-examine my lifestyle habits (yes, they are definitely habits) and I would have to confess that I need to eat more fruits containing Vit C and to catch up on more sleep (so,so so guilty on this). Hopefully this will help ease the pimples away from my skin and it'll be back to normal soon.
So, do check out what she has written ya!

Cherry Blossom Shampoo
I bought this out of whim during Sasa sale a while back. They were having a promo, purchase the big bottle (1000ml) and you get a small bottle (400ml) for free at the price of RM16.90.
What really attracted me what the simplicity of the packaging (alright, another sucker point for me here). I quite like its simple see through bottle and the fonts used on the label of the bottle. Easy for me to either recycle or reuse it for other purposes. The pump is quite good, dispensing a decent amount. Now that I have short hair, I don't use a whole lot and I find the pump to be quite good in terms of controlling the shampoo. Must be a good spring attached to it eh? =D
The shampoo works decently. If you need a simple shampoo, I'd say it's a good buy. It kept my hair nice and well managed pretty much 2/3 of my day. I'd say that it does its job as a shampoo. Given that I have oily hair that can turn pretty oily in half a day's time, it works well to keep the oil from weighing my hair down at least 2/3 of the day. By evening though, I could feel the oiliness and my hair being weighed down. Still, it doesn't bother me too much because I'm already home by then and I tend to clip everything up by then.
The two bottles lasted me for more than a year! I'd have to say that it really is a good buy =D
Will I repurchase? It depends though, because although it is a decent shampoo, it is a normal shampoo. I'm hoping to find one that could help curb the oiliness a bit longer.

Busy with....
I know I've been missing in action this year and there is a reason for it. I have been running a side business of my own for the past couple of years, selling accessories such as bracelets, earrings and necklaces.
This year, we took up the challenge to making those jewelries on our own. It's a skill I picked up a whole back and I have not practiced it due to many reasons. Designing and creating those jewelries are, in some ways, one of my many passions and I truly am pursuing this passion of mine now.
I'm running my business online at www.velvethouze.blogspot.com. We are also on facebook at www.facebook.com/velvethouze. Do check us out ya!

Binnings for May & June 2012
Another batch of binnings! I'm making way in clearing up my stuff every 2 months. Now, how to get the make up stuff to be cleared off much faster? That itself is a definite feat.
Loreal Hydrafresh Anti-Shine All Day Hydrating & Mattifying Icy Gel. Like it, but can't use it for too long. Might've caused my skin to be drying rather than hydrating though. What I like is the icy feeling when applied on the skin. Other than that, hm... might not be for me I guess.
Lip Balm. Honestly, I can't for the life of me remember the brand of this lip balm. It has the word Bee with it and it's available at Watsons. I really dislike this lip balm because it's so waxy and thick. It feels a little yucky when applied. I forced myself to finish it because I don't want to waste it. This will not be repurchased. I do think those lip balm from Daiso scores better than this long tube here.
I do realise that out of all these, I've only written a few of them. Need to get my butt moving de!
The Body Shop Mascara. This was a gift from someone a while back. I didn't even remember I had it in one of my drawers. It's long gone I guess, given that it's now all dried up.
Biore UV Sunblock. Review coming up soon!
Hada Labo Arbutin Essence. Had this for ages. Does it work? Hm, I don't really think so? Anyhow, it took forever for me to finish it as I find my skin a little intolerant to long term use of whitening products. I kept stopping after using it a few weeks in a row.
Life Code BioTRA Moisturizing Essence. This came with a trial pack that I received when I attended their blogger event. It was kinda chucked aside until recently when I find my skin getting extremely dry. It's a gel transparent essence. I tend to apply it onto my cheek area and it does help to lessen the dryness I was experiencing. It's quite a small tube so I did finish it quite fast. No idea the price of it now.
Elisha Coy Always Nuddy BB 24. After chucking it aside and using it only occasionally, I'm finally done with it. Lovely item, except when it slides off the face after about 5 hours or so.

Loreal Angelfit Concealer. Been using it for like, forever. The recent few times that I used it, it kinda turn funny on my face, hence off it goes to the bin.

Clear 38
This was recommended to me buy my optometrist, saying that it's a brand from Singapore and there are many who are buying it to try. I decided to give it a try since, heck, the Bausch & Loamb which was supposed to be working for my eyes seems to be giving me issues out of the blue.
Initially, I really like this. It is quite comfy and it seems to work well for me. However, for some strange reason, it started giving me issues during my last pair and couldn't last me for 4 weeks. I though, hey, maybe it is just that pair and I bought another box of three pairs to try. Again, first pair works, but second and third pairs started to fail me. It was causing my eyes to be dry and I was fast getting headache from wearing this contact lens.
Will I repurchase again? Sadly, no. It is not working and these couple of weeks I've resorted to wearing my spectacles in order to give my eyes some breathing space.
I guess it is now off to look for another suitable monthly lenses.
Any recommendations, anyone?

Throwies for the month of March and April 2012
Time seriously has been flying! I can't believe that it's already May?!
Well, I'm happy to share that I've cleared 9 stuff from my stores of numerous things. Make up seriously tends to be slower for me because I do very simple make up.
1. Maybelline Make Up remover
2. Loreal Hydrafresh All Day Hydration Aqua Gel
3. Rexona Women Naturals Bioprotection
I like this. I saw that this item was marked-down at Watsons for reason of its due date (end April) and I thought, what the heck, I'll make good use of it for two months then. And worked it I did. I love that it isn't watery nor sticky. It applies on smoothly and the smell's quite "nature", if you know what I mean. I think the best part is that it works to keep my perspiration at bay =D I love it and would definitely go and grab one of these again.
4. Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil
5. Simple Kind to Skin Facial Cleanser
A simple cleanser that works to keep my cheeks from drying out and yet at the same time, keeps my T-zone from oilies.
6. Benefit Some kind-a-Gorgeous
Bought this for ages. Realised that it doesn't work for me anymore because it turns a shade orange-y after a while. Urgh... Nonetheless, it fits my skin to a T when I first got it years back. Time to bin I guess.
7. Vaseline Healthy Sunblock
8. Hada Labo Hyaluronic Lotion

Freshlook Colour Lens by MrLens!
Can I say that I am superbly impressed by the efficiency of MrLens.com.my? I placed my order on a Friday/ Saturday and I got my goodies on MONDAY! Bless their hearts. I loveeee efficiency and they thoroughly impressed me. I think the best part is the fact that they called to inform that they are on the way to deliver to you. Now, that is a first for me and a pure surprise. I really have to thank Tammy from http://www.Plusizekitten.com for this wonderful contest that recommended me this wonderful website!
Okay, before I jumped the gun, let me tell you a bit more about MrLens.com.my. They are the largest online distributor of contact lenses from Europe in Malaysia now. I think the best thing about this website is that it is has the largest online inventory of Contact Lenses (check end of post for some of the listing of brands) at the lowest price in Malaysia (serious, the prices are awesome and are incomparable to those that we get from the shops). I think best part is that is comes with Free Delivery (selected location; but overall shipping price is pretty decent). By the way, it is free delivery for purchases above RM50 for selected areas in Klang Valley! Check it out at (http://www.mrlens.com.my/en/shipping.php)
They are also on Facebook; you can check them out at https://www.facebook.com/MrLens.my.
I ordered my two boxes of Freshlook Colorblends. They are the best selling items at MrLens.com.my.
This is in the package!
My choice: Gray and Pure Hazel.
Look what I got in the package along with it. It's gummi bears! I super, super love it. A simple, but pleasant surprise.
This is me wearing my pure hazel lens. Look how natural it is!
Me before the lenses.
Close up look
Ops, forced my eyes to be bigger so you could see it =D
I think overall, the lenses are rather comfy and good to wear. I don't always wear it for long hours so I cannot vouch for it, but it's good to go for a fun night out =D I like the pure hazel more than gray because it feels more natural and yet gives you a bit of the omph! If you could see, I can actually go easy on my eye make up because the lenses made my eyes pop up! Woo hoo.. this is gonna be great for days when I feel lazy to do my eye make up.. hehe
I think one of the best thing about MrLens.com.my is this: they have incorporated numerous programs which are attractive and would make customers want to return to their website. One of them is the · Recommend a Friend Program and MrLens.com.my
All I have to do is just sign up for it. Anyway, I'm already a returning customer so this isn't a biggie for me. All I had to do is just to login and recommend the site to your friends. Once they too, made their first purchase, viola, you get something in return. It's as simple as that =D
Oh, by the way, they have a Coupon Share with Friends to earn vouchers to shop at MrLens.com.my.
All you have to do is click "share with friends" MrLens FB campaign to earn RM20/discount when 10 friends like our page.
So, do give this website a try and I'll betcha won't regret it!
Once again, a bit shout out to MrLens.com.my and www.Plusizekitten.com for organizing this and making it so worthwhile!

Lenses Reviews?? OH YES!
Woo hoo! Okay, recently Tammy from Plusizekitten put up a FB post about a review of Freshlook Colourblends Contact Lens by www.MrLens.com.my
. Me being me, I quickly message her that I want to take part it in. Mind you, she has heaps of people following website and postings and you seriously have to grab the chance whenever there are things out for review from her.
Boy, am I glad I did that because I've been selected! I'm really, really excited because it's been a while since I've worn colored lenses and I can't wait to do so.

DIY Wax Strips that Spells Disaster
I have a tendency to do my own waxing as I find that it isn't that hard and sometimes, I don't have time to make an appointment to get it done by professionals. So, it's no surprise when my wax strips were running low, I went to grab some to use. As I was browsing around, I saw that there's one type that I've not tried before; Veet Wax strips with Shea Butter and Berry. Me being me, I went ahead and grab it cause, I mean, hey, it's a brand that I've always been buying on and off, how wrong could it get, right? Oh boy, how wrong was I on this account.
When I opened it, the strips looks fine and dandy. It's looks so neat and pink on its own, plus it smells of berry. A nice change to those sticky wax that I used last time (I can't remember if they smell though). Well, that's where are its niceties ends.
The minute I split the strips apart, I have an odd feeling over it. It's hard! I mean, most wax aren't that hard, not the type that I am familiar with anyway. Thinking it wasn't anything, I applied it and wax away. Tending to use the strips 2 to 3 times, I stick it onto my leg again and tried to wax again. Failure is the word. It doesn't work, it barely able to remove any hair the second time round. Anyhow, I continue to give it a try.
The horror/ disaster begun when I used the 2nd pair of strips. When I try to remove it, the whole wax STUCK onto my skin and it got removed from its strip. Man, that continued for like 4 pairs of the strips. I could only use them twice and some only once! It is just terrible.
There was never once were I could use the wax strips properly and out of the 20 strips, I used 12 of them @.@
This is a definite no buy for me. I was really turned off and appalled by the fact that it's stated as stronger grip on the box. Disaster... disaster...A definite no to rebuying this.

Review: Cres Wellness Body Regenerist Fruiti Spa
This year has truly been wonderful. I've received heaps of blessings since. One of the recent one was an invite from Cres Wellness to try out their Body Regenerist Fruitti Spa. I will call this Fruitti Spa from hereon, easier =D
Beware! This post is gonna be long =D
Here's the tagline:
Don't hide it! Flaunt it!
Match your well tended face with smooth, fair and flawless body skin
Wear those bikinis and sexy outfits confidently and admirably
Be a true beauty from top to toe, inside out.
Quite interesting eh? I do realise that we tend to take care of our face more as it's more prominent and as a result, we ended up neglecting our body. So, I decided to take up their offer to try out this spa.
Here's the write up on Body Regenerist Fruitti Spa.
Introducing the new Body Regenerist Fruitti Spa specially for women who clamour for perfection, top to toe, inside out. It is designed for those courageous women who refuse to hide anymore, who resolve to face it, repair it and change it! It is meant for those sophisticated women who want to flaunt proudly and confidently.
Formulated using botanical ingredients such as fruits and flowers, coupled with natural sea salt and yoghurt. The Body Regenerist Fruitti Spa serves to provide both a relaxing pampering session and result showing body skin regeneration therapy at the same time. The dead skin cells are scrubbed off using fruits and flower enriched natural marine sea salt. The aromatic fruit extract and flower scents are de-stressing in nature and nourish the skin with vitamins and nutrients. The luxurious fruitti body masque and the lavish fruitti bubble bath ensure an effective infiltration of essence to the inner skin.
Immediate result:
- Skin is visibly whiter
- Flaws and bites mark are lighter
- Dark skin tone is fairer
- Skin is new , young and elastic
- Skin is incredibly smooth and radiant
When I was walking to Cres Wellness from where I parked my car, I was literally hit my loads of noises and car sounds because the branch is located by the main road of Jalan Kepong. It wasn't totally pleasant, just your everyday traffic. However, the minute I was into their lobby, I was hit by two things. First, my senses were hit by a citrus aroma that seems to engulf me once I am inside. When I asked much later, they explained that the aroma oil is their own (wholly created by Cellnique) lemon oil. Secondly, the whole place real quiet compared to the noise out there. I immediately felt refreshed and naturally relaxed while waiting to be served. You know the feeling that you are unwinding for the day and just relaxing around? I felt that when I was just sitting there. It's a wonderful feeling especially when you are preparing for spa, don't you think?
After the initial filling up of forms, I was then invited to follow my masseur, Michelle, to the upper floor and that she will be the person who will be explaining this spa as I experience it. I thought however, it would be good to get an explanation or a rough idea what to expect because I wasn't inform of anything earlier. Maybe it's different for different person I guess. By the way, the lemon scent continues to embrace me even as I went upstairs. It was a pleasant thing really, because it just makes me feel more relaxed every step I took whilst heading upstairs. Well, I was led to a massage room which was situated at the end of the hall. I felt the rooms were a tad too dark as I walked into it. It would have been good if the rooms were slightly brighter and could be dimmed during the massage.
the view as I was walking upstairs
I love this lounge area! So comfy looking
I was then asked to change out of my clothes and was given a towel and a disposable undies to change into. Ample time was given for me to do so. This is good because I've experienced situations where the person seemingly rushing me to change in order to get started. I was treated to a half an hour Anti-Stress Back Massage. Below is the description of it:
Anti Stress Back Massage
Using vitamin riched aromatic botanical essential oil, total relaxation of mind and body, stimulate detoxification through lymph nodes, increase blood circulation and de-stress the tensed muscle.
I have to say that Michelle was absolutely fabulous. The pressure was just nice and she went through the massage slowly, ensuring all my pressure points and lymph nodes were given all the attention. I felt totally relaxed and wished for a longer massage because it was just so utterly delicious and relaxing.
After the massage, Michelle proceeded to cover me with the Fruitti Yoghurt Masque and Fruitti Scrub combined.
Fruitti Yoghurt Masque
Contains natural fruits extracts from pineapple, lemon, rose and orange. Rich in Vitamin C and fruit enzymes that make skin incredibly elastic and hydrated. The lactic acid in the yoghurt is effective in reducing acne and tightens pores. Enriched with pure essential oil from jojoba for a more moisturized and smooth complexion.
Frutti Scrub
Contains natural marine sea salt, luscious rose petals and pineapple puree. Rich in vitamin B, C and E, exfoliate to remove dead skin cells of the body, expose a layer of young skin cell for a better absorption of vitamins, moisture and essence, leaving skin young, rejuvenated and baby-smooth.
The rubdown given by Michelle with the scrub was really good and I have to say that the masque smells nice. She did a thorough in getting my entire body covered with the mixture. I know some of you might not like scrubs but I have to say that this is quite gentle. It doesn't feel abrasive or painful. Plus Michelle was applying the masque as though she is doing another round of simple massage all throughout my body.
Once that is done, I was covered with blankets up to my neck and Michelle start fiddling with some plastic. She explained that I will be covered by the hot blanket:
Thermal Blanket Heat Infusion
Promote a high infiltration of essence and nutrients into the epidermis layer by stimulating the lymphatic and blood circulation through heat.
It seems that it will work amazingly well with the masque. Although it's called a hot blanket, the temperature was set to warm. She explains that it's set to a temperature that is enough to work the masque for its benefit. I was then left alone for about 15 minutes or so and during that time, I remember dozing off and feeling rather comfortable. It was nearing the end that I started feeling slightly sticky.
After the 20 minutes or so was done, Michelle came in and started removing the hot blanket from me. Once that is done, she personally assisted on wearing a robe and led me to my bubble bath. It is situated in a different room, but I have to say the design of the room was amazingly cozy and I felt so at home when I got in there. There was a bath tub situated in that room and a simple staircase inbuilt leading me to the tub. Oh so inviting... I was greatly anticipating the bubble bath.
Fruitti Bubble Bath
A lavish, long soak in a tub of warm creamy bubble bath rich in vitamin B, C and E to unleash all your tensed muscles and stressed mind. Contains fruits moisture, almond and lactic acid, effective in combating skin irritation, eczema and acne problems. Leaving skin ultra smooth, white, young and hydrated.
I have to say that the service provided was good. I was given a different set of towel and it was all positioned nicely. I was left alone for roughly another 20 minutes or so. There was already a cup of water and a packet of biscuit situated at the side of the bath tub, easily reachable for my consumption. Another blanket was position at the top as a head rest for me. All in all it was quite nice and I find myself in bliss for that short time there. I do, however, have a gripe. I wished that the tub was slightly deeper. I find myself having to keep repositioning myself to ensure that I was soaked in the water nicely. That means a lot of moving about. Although there was minimal sloshing, the bubbles disappeared rather quickly due to it.
Nonetheless, the bubble bath, designed to be hydrating and nourishing, does leave my skin feeling softer and smoother. I could feel that the areas like my elbow and my knees looking much better and not as wrinkly (I'm guilty of not taking so good care of my body).
Overall, I am satisfied with this spa. I think I wouldn't mind dropping by Cres should I need a body massage =D

How Often Do You Wash Your Spectacles?
I was washing my spectacles earlier when this question popped into my head. You know, we are always so diligent in washing our faces (at least twice a day!) and ensuring that it is moisturised and all. But do we ever ponder about washing our specs and all those things that touches our skin?
In the past, I don't wash my spectacles as often. Partly it's cause it's metal, and I realise that metal items don't "feel" so oily easily. Recently, I changed my specs to the plastic frame style and I realise that it feels oilier than usual and the frequency of me washing it moved up to at least once a week. And this is with the fact that I only wear specs after my shower (usually an hour or so before I head to bed). I think if I were to wear it daily, I would be washing it daily.
How about you? Do you wear specs? If so, how often do you wash your specs?

Binnings for the Last 3 Months
Been ages since I've done this. I'm growing ever more in my binnings and I'm quite happy about it. I'm currently on cosmetic shopping ban and will be so till June this year. Trust me, I have ample of things to blog about with my huge collection of skincare and cosmetics that's about to spill out from my cupboard.
*Sorry about the pic, had to rely on my iPhone for now as there's some issue with my camera's SD card. It looks like it's time for me to buy a new one @.@
Here's the items:
- Body Shop Liquid Eyeliner: This was my very first liquid eyeliner gifted to me by a friend. I like it cause it doesn't smear and it stayed on my eyelids for the longest time. However, after a few months, it was giving me a bit of a weird feeling, where my eyelids seemed heavy when I have it on. I stopped using it for a while now but somehow in all my binnings, this seemed to be hidden well till now.
- SiklyGirl Duo Eye Shadow 10 Gold Emerald: Again, another one of my very first beauty purchase. I remember buying this as I was wanting to try putting on make up for a wedding dinner. Works well, but because of my oily eyelids, the colors fades off quite quickly. This was chucked aside and I stopped using it. Time for me to say goodbye to it now.
- ianti Luxe Jewelry Pact Powder (Dark Beige): Oh, the horror! I just realised that I've never blogged about this pact powder. Lovely item for it's price (less than Rm20 if I remember correctly). I was quite taken aback when I first tried it because the SA recommended me Dark Beige. I'm actually quite fair and so usually I go for something lighter. However, the colour matches my skin well and it works well as a foundation powder. I tend to reach out for it because I'm lazy like that =P. I'm not sure if ianti is still around because I don't really see it anywhere. The branch in Times Square which I used to frequent has closed down since last year.
- ianti Luxe Jewelry Blusher (#04 - Sexy Pink): What can I say, love the colour and the softness of it when applied on my cheeks. Downside of this is, the colour fades off rather quickly, around 2 hours. I had to throw it away because the packaging was plastic and the cover broke.
- Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals Instant Skin Perfecting Cream with Micro-Minerals (BB cream): Man, what a mouthful.
- L'oreal Derma Genesis Cellular-Youth Creator Pore Minimising Smoother Gel Cream: There goes another one.
- b.liv by cellniq Off with Those Heads Pro Sebum Gel: This took me forever to finish because I slack in between wayyy too much. However, it still works well even though I stopped using it for a period of time.
- Etude Sun Guard Natural Covering Color Case SPF 42
- Skin79 The Oriental Gold BB Cream and Super + Beblesh Balm Trip Function: Lovely when applied on the skin but it's quite thick. Does get oily after about 6 hours. Nonetheless, the skin continue to look good after blotting. It's said to have whitening effect but I could not see any effects from using it. I tend to use my BB Cream as foundation and not on its own.
- Empro Diamond Black Eyeliner
- Vaseline Healthy Sunblock: Am now using my second one!
- Etude House Collagen Moistfull Emulson: Nice on the skin. Not sure of its efficacy as this is just a test tube. Wish the bottle would be made in a way where it's easier to be poured out as the liquid is slightly thicker than water and tends to bunch (can they do that?) at the top. I had to tap it onto my palm for the liquid to come out (sometimes it gushes out and I would end up having too much). Then again, this is a free sample.

Biotherm Biosource Hydra-Mineral Cleanser Toning Mousse
Biotherm Biosource Hydra-Mineral Cleanser Toning Mousse is by far one of favourite facial wash. This is one facial wash that I catch myself reaching out for most of the time (I do rotate and have different kind of facial wash on standby for different days' needs =D) The name is definitely a mouthful eh? Let's refer to it as the Biotherm Toning Mousse .
Packaging wise, I love the green. It feels refreshing in a gentle way, if you know what I mean. However, I do find that it can be quite hard to read the words (and even tougher when snapping pictures of it!) It comes in a tube form and I do find that the tube itself is quite sturdy. The cap too, is pretty reliable and doesn't open easily. Once the click is in place, you don't have to worry about it popping up and opening itself easily.
Although it is called a mousse, it doesn't exactly feel like one. However, it does foam well and that makes it easy to apply onto my face. All I need was just a tiny little squeeze (smaller than pea size!) of the Biotherm Toning Mousse and rub my hands together to foam it. Viola, nice and dandy to apply onto my skin.
I love the fact that it cleanses my skin well. This Biotherm Toning Mousse does not leave my skin feeling tight after the wash, nor does it make me feel as tough I needed to wash my face another time. The feeling is just right. I believe this has to do with the fact that this Biotherm Toning Mousse is part of their hydrating series (which I definitely adore!)
I tend to grab their 50ml as this is my to-go facial for as and when usage when I'm out of the house. I believe the regular size the 150ml. Like I said, this is my favourite and I'm already using my 3rd tube =D Definitely a re-purchase product for me.

Aquamoist Moisture Base
First and foremost, I have to apologise for neglecting my blog for so long. It's been a crazy start of the year and it is still quite crazy. I've decided that I'd better get started here lest I'll never blog anymore! I'm hoping that things will go slow on me after these two months.
Now, into the main topic. I bought this Aquamoist Moisture Base out of a whim because I couldn't resist the price. This was purchased last year around May. I think they were in the midst of preparing for GSS and I happened to go to BHG in Bugis (another one of my fav hangout in SG). I'm not entirely sure what's the price here in Malaysia, but it was going for SGD5.95! Now tell me, how does one resist such good prices when you know the product ranges from 40 to 60 here in Malaysia? I do wonder sometimes why we in Malaysia are paying for so much when things can get so cheap in our neighbouring country.
One of the very first thing that caught my eye is the simplicity of its packaging. Yes, I'm a sucker for simplicity. That's why I'm a fan of Muji! hehe... Anyhow, the packaging is simple and yet it stands out like a sore thumb. Trust me, it wasn't easy to get a good picture of this item. Too reflective =p
How does it fare? I have to say that I love it. It definitely helps to prep my skin before make up and because it's a moisture base, it keeps my skin, especially my cheeks are that tends to drier, to be supple. It functions well as a protective layer of my skin before make up. There are times when I feel that my skin seems to be oilier and I applied the Moisture Base without any moisturiser. This was something that I learnt from Lisa Eldridge's video about primer. I was practically drooling over the different primers and base that she was sharing in the video. I do wish we have some of them here. Ops, okay... coming back to the main topic. I wish I could just go and grab it but honestly, in Malaysia, I do feel that this item is slightly pricey (yes, even though I do not know the price of it). Who knows, maybe I should head down to SG this coming May or June to scout for it again?
