Daiso Boxes to the Rescue!

Whoosh! *the image of Mighty Mouse pops into my head when I wrote the title for this blog post hee*

I'm not huge with nail polishes.  Well, I thought I wasn't.  Come on, my collection isn't that big.  I don't do my nails like every other day (truly, I salute them who does! I think they are really, really awesome) and I'm not that good when it comes to doing my nails.  So, it truly came as a surprise when I realised that my little box could no longer hold all my nails polishes *horror*

see the overflow.  They can't fit in anymore *frown*

I kinda forgot about it and I ended up just having nail polishes lying here and there for a few weeks after this photo was taken.  Then I find myself walking around One Utama one evening and saw Daiso.  Nope, still didn't register the need for a box.  I somehow could not resist popping into Daiso wherever they are because, aw.. they have so much goodies in there!  Heehee....

Anyway, as I was walking towards the payment counter, the variety of boxes and containers caught my eye.  I literally felt a lightbulb in my head lighted up as I remembered my nail polishes!  keke...

And so, I've settled for their  wide box No. 2.  It fits my nail polishes comfortably (right height for regular polishes) and its shape allows for easy storage.  For RM5, this is definitely a good buy =D

Happy International Women's Day

A big shout out to all you ladies!  Happy International Women's Day ya!

I'm reminded of this Proverbs in the Bible that talks about women:
(from biblegateway.com)

Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character

10 [b]A wife of noble character who can find?
    She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
    and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
    and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
    bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
    she provides food for her family
    and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
    out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
    her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
    and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
    and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
    and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
    for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
    she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
    where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
    and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Be blessed always and have a wonderful time!

Watsons Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips with Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera Extract

To be honest, I was a little hesitant to buy this item.  Maybe because it's under the Watsons brand.  Having a in-house brand items is something that's being practiced back in Australia wayyy back, but being back in Asia, there's this sense of hesitancy and reluctance to give it a try.  Nonetheless, I was a little desperate as I couldn't find any other brand besides Biore (doesn't really work for me), so I thought, oh well, what the heck.

When I opened it up, the first thing that hits me is that it doesn't have the creases in between to make way for the shape of the nose, not as what was in the picture.  It doesn't fair well for me because I find it hard to fit the shape of my nose without those creases here and there.

Secondly, it's thinner than the Charcoal one that I was using prior. It does feel a little weird due to the lack of crease and the thin texture.

Thirdly, when I brought it close to my nose to stick it, I was suddenly engulfed by this overpowering smell!  It's herb-like and it's very, very strong.  I reckon it might be the witch hazel smell.  Ergh... if you are sensitive to smell, please, stay away from this product.

In the midst of all these, I have to say that it works.  It really sticks to your nose, so you have to make sure it's position rightly because sticking, because it doesn't budge once you stick it in.  Also, because it's thinner than the usual strips, it dries rather quickly.  It's easily removable too, which I believe is because it's thin.  At the same time, it does clear my nose of the gunks!  Nope, no pictures of the gunk this time round.  I doubt you can see it clearly though.

Seriously, it's just the smell that turns me off.  Otherwise, I'd say this is a good buy.
